Belmont Game, Friends over, Zoo with Mommy

This week was a busy, but fun week. We went to a Belmont game on Tuesday. It was Community Day, so we all got in free, plus they fed us! The only picture we got was of John with the Sher-Ruff. On Saturday, Kate had a friend from school over and they played and made cookies. Then, today was a holiday, so the girls had off from school. We packed lunches and went to the zoo! Since it was the first nice day in a while and schools were out, every spot in the parking lot was full! I have never seen so many cars there before. Even with the crowds, we had a good time and enjoyed being in the sun.  We then got to go meet Phil for lunch down at Nissan. Such a beautiful day!

Home Show with Cousins

This past Sunday, we went to the Home Show at the Music City Center with Chris, Charlotte, and Ellie. The kids found the booths to be very interesting, especially if the booth had a bowl of candy. We're really not sure even now how much they consumed. :)

How much wood could a woodchuck...

This is one cool kid!

John said this was his happy face.

Cousins!

The Flu & The Zoo

John and I were house bound for a week with the flu. Come this past Friday, we both felt a ton better and needed to be outside. We spent the majority of the day with friends at the zoo. The weather was beautiful and I was so thankful to feel better and be outside.
We spent lots of time in bed reading books and watching lots of movies.

Sweet friends being silly at the zoo.

John was all about the train at the zoo.

Zoo Day with Daddy

Phil took the kids to the zoo yesterday. It was pretty cold, so most of the animals were inside, but they made the most of it.  Rachel didn't go because she has the flu. 👎😞
They have this fun, new (been there about a year) ride that takes you up pretty high to see over the zoo.  Kate rode it with our foster daughter and then Phil rode it once with our foster daughter and once with Kate. They all had a good time just being outside. It has been pretty cold here in Nashville, so it was nice to get outside even though it was still chilly (50ish degrees).  Also, Phil and I got to go see The Greatest Showman at the IMAX. WOW! We were both so amazed and loved the movie.  If you haven't seen it, you should!  Such a great musical and so well done!
