Camping Trip #2

On our second camping trip, we decided to stay an extra night. We left on Tuesday morning and came back on Friday afternoon. It was a very restful time and we all were so glad to stay the extra day. It was also fun to get to be with friends and play in the mud, river, play games, read books, and rest.

Trip to the Villages

We spent this past week in a town south of us about 2.5 hours away. We wanted to take some time this summer to visit some other cities in our country. We got to see some villages, meet some locals, and, of course, have lots of tea. We went swimming two days in a row at some water parks/pools and also took some days to rest at the house we were staying. We read books, played games, and had good time together. We ended the trip with a trip to the movies in our city. The Lion King in 3D!

Library Day (At School)

There are two days this summer that the school library is open and we can go check out books. We were all thrilled to be able to get some new reading material. Yes, we can check out e-books online, but that is not the same as having books in your hands. The kids were also thrilled to see all their friends. 

John read this all by himself with only a few helps. 

Short Trip Away (Happy 4th)

We went to a city for a few days we have been before. Phil helps with the English club there when we go. It's about 2.5 hours north of where we live. It's near the mountains, is beautiful, and is generally cooler. We were there this time with a local family that we play volleyball with.
