The end of the month activity for Phil's school was a field trip to a local literature museum. After seeing the museum, the kids all got ice cream cones from KFC.

Hymn Sing
We got together with a group of friends to share a meal together and to sing hymns. We occasionally sing a hymn in church, but it was nice to have an evening of old songs, some new hymns, reading scripture, and praying together.

Rachel & Kate Visit Belarus
Rachel & Kate went to Belarus for the weekend to see a close friend (from Nashville) who lives there and teaches at an international school. It was so fun to be with one child and also to see this friend. We painted pottery, saw Little Women, ate local food, did a puzzle, watched a movie at home, played games, and hung out in our PJs. Kate loved playing with our friend's two cats the whole weekend. We had a great time! Kate also got to play in the snow and teach a lesson in our friend's class on the country in which we live. Such a fun experience!

Things we don't often (or EVER) see...
There are some things, well, lots of things that we don't have here or are not common. Ice is not a thing here. The people believe that cold drinks will make you sick. Also, baby carrots or really most convenience food. We do have some fast food places, but I've only ever seen one drive through and that was after a year and a half of living here and the place was new. We are okay without most of the convenience things, but there are a few things we miss. Veggies that are ready to eat from the store (bagged salad) and cottage cheese (yes, it's a thing and we miss it), but not really ice. Ice we can do without. :)
