Anna and I were away for the volleyball tournament. We got to spend the last night with some friends we knew when Anna was a baby. Anna gave out candy to trick or treaters at their door. Phil took the other kids and went trick or treating with friends and family.
I coached JV volleyball at the kids where my kids attend. Anna and I took a weekend trip to attend the varsity volleyball state tournament. Our niece played on the varsity team. We also went to a European Market where we found things that reminded us of home. It was such a fun time away with just Anna.
No matter where we have lived (with the exception of our first five years of marriage), we have always had a piano. I am so thankful to my wonderful husband who has moved pianos for me over the last ten years. We saw this one on FB for free and Phil and his brothers-in-law went to get it! We love having music in the house!
For a service project, our volleyball girls did a (free) car wash for the staff at the school. The girls also bought special drinks and snacks for each of the staff. We all had a great time. I think the girls might have gotten more soap on them than the cars, but I think we did clean some cars. :) The girls worked for two hours cleaning lots of cars.
It is so fun to be near cousins and celebrate their birthdays with them. We went bowling for Matt's birthday and then to Chipotle. The kids can't remember the last time they have been bowling (I think this was the first time for John.). It was a fun time all being together.
This was Rachel's third year coaching Anna in volleyball. She was able to coach the JV team at the kids' school. The team consisted of 16 girls that ranged in grades from 6th-10th! It was tricky trying to give everyone playing time, but it was a good year. We went 4-4 in our season, but were undefeated in our conference. Anna did a great job and is a hard worker out on the volleyball court! I needed to post all these pictures to show how much fun we have with Anna. She is such a joy!
Phil's family was so good to come help us clean the new house. The house was pretty clean, but there was dog hair everywhere! :( We also had a family in the church give us some bedroom furniture! Yay! Slowly, but surely, we are getting the house set up.
