Youth Retreat 2019

Rachel got to go and help at the youth retreat again this year. It was a great time of serving, learning, and getting to know the kids more.

Homeschool Co-op-September

With the girls doing online school this year, we are now part of a new homeschool group that meets here in our city. We are all doing different things as far as the actual schooling goes, but we are all teaching our children at home. Most of the kids are little, but it is sweet for my bigger kids to be able to help the little ones. We are meeting once a month for an outing led by one of the moms. September was at the Botanical Gardens with a fun scavenger hunt planned. 

Kate's New Pet (aka...no more pigs!)

Kate wanted a change of pets. Since moving back into an apartment, the pigs had to be in the girls' room. Kate was constantly saying how noisy the pigs were and how they were keeping the girls up at night. In our other house, the pigs were in a different room. Also, we kept having to remind Kate to feed them and she was over it. So, she switched to a hamster and we sold the pigs. Her first hamster was a super tiny thing, but he only made it two days. We're not sure if he was sick or just too small. So, off we went back to the pet store and the guy gave us another one free. Bubbles is the new one and he is doing just fine, although, he often looks grumpy from Kate waking him up constantly. :)  I think we are all glad for the change.

Volleyball Group Get Together

The volleyball group we are a part of celebrated a lot of birthdays this past month, so we had everyone over to our apartment to celebrate. So much fun and so much food!

Birthdays 2019

Phil and I celebrate our birthdays two days apart. We were able to have a night away while friends kept our kids. It was such a nice time away.
