Phil's Dad's Heart

We are so thankful and praising God this weekend for keeping Phil's dad with us. He went to the ER Friday night with severe chest burning (felt like bad heartburn) and it ended up being a heart attack. We are so glad he decided to get it checked out. He had two stents put in and went home on Sunday. Phil was able to be with him most of the weekend. He is home and doing well.

Anna Plays Soccer

Anna loves playing soccer. She couldn't wait until the soccer season started here. She is a seventh grader on a varsity team which means she doesn't get a lot of playing time, but she doesn't care. She just loves being able to play. Her coach is really great to try to get the younger girls in for a couple minutes each game. We have really enjoyed watching Anna play a sport she loves. It is also great that Rachel isn't coaching. It's nice to just be the mom and not her coach.

Phil's Trip to Chattanooga

Phil made a quick trip to Chattanooga to attend the funeral of a dear friend from our college days and the house church we attended. This friend found out not too long ago he had cancer and is now in heaven.  It wasn't the right time for us all to go, but we are glad Phil could go be with our friends there.

New Volleyball Group

We are trying to start a volleyball group here in our new town. We attended one as a date night/outreach while overseas (the group was started by a believing couple as a means of outreach) and really wanted to do the same here. We are having it at the gym where are kids attend school. We are opening it up to anyone 18 and over. We are praying that the Lord would use us to serve the community here in whatever way he wants. Phil's parents are always so supportive and came out to play/watch.
