David Phelps

Phil and I were able to go on an overnight date. We went to a town about 30 minutes away. We had dinner (We had a gift card for Outback Steakhouse-yum!), attended a concert (David Phelps), and were able to stay the night using hotel points. It was so nice to be away. 

School Registration

We had meetings this past week for our kids to become registered with the school they will attend. They will go to the Christian school where Phil's dad and brother-in-law teaches. We met with the principals, took a tour of the school, and the kids took placement tests. We are all excited for this new adventure. 

Residents of South Carolina

We took some time to switch over our license to South Carolina. We now have a car registered in SC and our licenses. We are official. 

Visiting (overseas) Friends

We had some friends from overseas that had just returned to the states and had landed in a town not too far from us. On our way back from the Old House, we stopped to visit with them at a park for a few hours. 

The General Mast Store

There are a lot of neat places to explore around the Old House in Bakersville, NC. We took one day and drove to the Mast General Store. It is a neat store with lots of neat older (new) things to buy, fun old fashioned candy, sodas, and treats.
