Kate's School Play

 Kate wanted to be in the school play, but the auditions happened before we arrived in Thailand. However, she was able to be a part of the backstage crew and helped do hair and makeup. 

Smokey Season

 We endured our first smokey season in Chiang Mai! The air quality gets bad from farmers burning their rice fields in and around Chiang Mai. Because we are up against the mountain, the air sits creating a smokey city for two months. Sometimes the air quality was up around 400. We wear air filtering masks and stay inside most of the time. 

Tim's Visit

A friend of ours from when we lived in Delaware came to visit along with a friend of his. Tim stayed for five days and fit in lots of fun things while here. They did a cooking class (which Phil and Anna did as well), Thai boxing (with Phil), the walking street market, rode on a tuk tuk, and went to the mall. 

 

Day at the Houseboats

 We spent a day at the houseboats with some friends. It was a fun day of swimming, eating, and getting to know one another. 

First Volleyball Game

 Anna and Kate both had their first volleyball games (with Rachel coaching Anna) on the same night at the same school. Both teams lost, but the girls played well. 

Package From the USA

 Sweet friends from South Carolina sent us a package filled with American candy, cereal, tea, and other goodies. We were so thankful for the friends who went together to do this as we know it wasn't cheap.
