We barely drank pop in the states, but the kids have really missed root beer here. You can't find it here. Pepsi, coke, sprite, and orange fanta are the main ones you can find. You occasionally see Dr. Pepper or ginger ale in special stores, but it is expensive. I have root beer syrup and made some root beer for the first time a month ago. The kids were thrilled and it was super easy. It was a little strange for the kids because it smelled and tasted like root beer, but it was clear. Sugar, water, root beer syrup, and sparkling water is all it took to taste a little of home.
