As we say goodbye to all of our friends and family here in Nashville, we have also taken the time to just be together as a family as we say goodbye to our city. We have plans to visit many of our most frequented landmarks before we leave next Tuesday. We will do Storytime at the Downtown Library, watch a baseball game, visit the zoo and science center, and maybe have time for one more burger from Gabby's.
In saying goodbye to pivotal "Landmarks" in Nashville, today WE SAID GOODBYE TO OUR HOME. Although the official closing is not until tomorrow, we cleaned the house out, put the keys on the counter, and locked the door behind us as we left.
While Rachel was conducting a small army of friends that had volunteered to clean our house, I was taking a unique opportunity to sit with our Worship Director as well as our Youth Pastor to discuss the details of each of their jobs. Although I was only able to sit with them for a couple of hours, I have been learning from them for the last 10 years. This last meeting has provided me some one-on-one time with some of the most talented professionals in their respective fields. We also had a great friend who was so gracious to keep our kids for 5 hours so that we can focus on the task at hand.
So glad to get the opportunity to do some of these activities and visit our favorite places in Nashville One Last Time.
